Your new equipment
You’ll need two pieces of equipment. You’ll get your BT Infinity Home Hub two days before your installation date. Your engineer will bring your vDSL modem with them and install both for you.
Get ready for installation
We’ll need to plug in your vDSL modem into the master phone socket so please make sure you have two power sockets available next to it – if you don’t, please have a power extension cable available.
On your installation day, the engineer will call you before starting to connect you to fibre broadband at your local BT cabinet.
Installing BT Infinity in your home
The engineer may install a small data extension kit and some extension cabling within your home if needed to make sure your equipment gives you the fastest possible speed.
Please allow up to three hours for your installation. During this time, the engineer will make sure you can connect to the Internet. That’s it!
Note: Your telephone line won’t work for up to 10 minutes while your engineer connects you to fibre broadband at your local BT cabinet.
